Your evening begins with dinner at Black Sage, one of the most beautiful dining experiences near Zion. It’s the perfect excuse to dress up, slow down and enjoy an incredible meal together before you pop the biggest question of your life.
After dinner, you’ll casually head up the hill for an easy sunset walk - or so your partner thinks.
Just minutes from the restaurant, you’ll arrive at one of our favorite hidden locations overlooking Zion, where sweeping canyon views, glowing sandstone cliffs and endless skies create the perfect backdrop for one of the most beautiful moments of your life.
Unlike many of Zion’s popular proposal locations, this spot remains wonderfully under the radar. No crowded overlooks. No waiting for strangers to move out of the background. No audience.
Just the two of you, views as breathtaking as the love you share, and a moment that feels completely your own.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll discreetly capture the proposal itself and then transition seamlessly into a sunset engagement photoshoot while the desert glows around you. Since you’re already dressed up for dinner, everything feels natural and effortless - without needing extra planning or outfit changes.
One thing that makes our proposal experience unique is that you’re not hiring just one photographer - you’re hiring a team.
Together, we (Tyler and Jae - the photographers behind Zion Canyon Light) bring decades of combined photography experience and different strengths behind the camera, allowing us to capture your proposal with a variety of photography equipment and from multiple perspectives - creating a relaxed, natural experience from start to finish.
Tyler’s deep knowledge of Zion’s landscapes, light and hidden locations pairs perfectly with Jaechon’s eye for authentic moments and creating experiences that feel effortless and fun. Together, we blend adventure, beauty and technical expertise to make sure no moment goes unnoticed.
